I spent some time without programming and write on the blog. This year has been a little difficult, but thanks God things are getting better. A few days ago I decided it was time to do something, it is also good to keep the practice. I remembered the good old Nightfighter, a kind of flight simulator for the Odyssey. It's been about 30 years since I bought mine at Mappin (popular brazilian store back in the days), I spent several hours in this game were countless days until I discovered how to land the plane. The first time I could do it was to curious, it played a little tune and I was so ecstatic that turned off the console. Nightfigther, even by the lack of options, is the best of the Odyssey simulator, however, I thought these days that something was still missing in this game. One of Nightfigther problems is that it is a rather static game, you don´t feel that this flying unless there is an enemy on the screen. Graphically, you were piloting a washing machine or a Xerox machine. With this in mind, I started working on a new flight simulator, below you can see the current stage of the game affectionately nicknamed Day figther!

Hi Rafael!
I am glad, that you are back with your blog. I saw your posts at videopac.nl, so I hoped it will happen one day. And I am also happy, that things are getting better before christmas.
To be honest, I never played Nightfighter. I more like games like Wildlife, Pickaxe Pete or Norseman. But your flight simulator look very good. Maybe I could play it one day.
All the best to you Rafael and welcome back!
I've been thinking: Why where is Videopac number 1 fan? 8^D
I like Nightfighter, not on par with games like Pick Axe Pete, for example, but it's always good to have variety. For now this simluador is another project that gets in line, I'm still not sure which games will evolve in 2016. As always thank you, Tom.
Hi Rafael
I enjoy reading your blog. I am glad you are back as well. As for 2016, I have been looking at some of your game creations on http://rafael.guttenbrunner.com/newo2.htm
Have you ever considered working more on DOCTOR TEETH?
That one looks like a lot of fun!
Tim
Hi Tim, thanks. In fact I "finished" Doctor Teeth (now Teeth in Trouble) but sometimes an idea works better on paper than the real thing. Despite I think it a little fun, I still fell there´s something missing then,so sometimes some projects should go into the drawer until it is a better solution! In time, I hope your days are best, too.
Rafael
