A MÚSICA DAS SOMBRAS! (click here for english version)

ENGLISH:

There are some games that were common on several consoles. We had racing games, gambling, sports, battle tanks, planes, everything that was part of this romantic era of video games. Currently, it does not matter if you are playing a soccer game on an Xbox, Playstation or Wii, everything is very similar (and boring).Earlier it was not so, everything was new, the same game had to be thought of differently for each console, offering different graphics, sound and gameplay. One day I was playing our infamous Marksman "Videopac 16" and thought why did not try to make a more traditional "Shooting Gallery"  I must admit that I like to see someone trying something new, but this "Marksman" is very sinister. So, I thought as the Shooting Galleries were part of the early history of video games, from the Odyssey1, through 2600, APF Imagination Machine, Interton VC4000 Channel F, Intellivision, ColecoVision, all had their "Shooting Galleries". It was time for our Odyssey get one, too. This weekend, the Midwest Gaming Classic is being presented my first game in partnership with Packrat. This is Shooting Gallery / Minefield, as you can see from the title is a cartridge with two games, which is also something that I wanted to accomplish by the story of the Odyssey. Earlier, several Odyssey cartridges containing two or more games, I still think the original idea was that it was always the case, which justifies the famous "SELECT GAME" phrase. But today, let's talk specifically (or almost) on Shooting Gallery, why? Those who know my work know that I always try to find and bring something new to the game especially with regard to graphics and sounds. The idea that tried to develop in Shooting Gallery was put some music in the game. Okay, I know I will not win a Grammy for it, but I think it is a first step and is valid. So let two videos below, one of the Shooting Gallery and another and from one previously presented project, Police Pursuit, where I am also trying to put some song! In the end, I think the music brings a little more joy to the games.

Now we have also a Shooting Gallery for Videopac! With wonderful music and gfx. Thank you Rafael. And also thanks for two games. Now make our "SELECT GAME" screen more sense.

Now we need some adventure games and we have a great library. Forbidden Lands is the beginning. But when your black and white games will come, we have something that nobody has for his system.

And by the way. It`s really amazing, that you get so good sounds from our Videopac. I hate the standard sounds from sooo many Videopac games. But when I hear the shooting sounds from the mothership from Piggyback, the titel music from Dark Dungeon or now the music in Shooting Gallery with the shooting sounds for example. Great work!!!
